Douglas Ryder Greenwell - Original Watercolor Paintings

Born in Chicago, Doug grew up in the Maryland suburbs of Washington, DC where his lifelong passion for the arts began.
After spending 13 years in Denver Colorado, Doug and his wife Rebecca returned to Maryland in 2013. Their love of the Chesapeake Bay region is what drew them back, and historic Annapolis is the place they decided to settle.
Doug has been painting since his early twenties, but began painting in earnest when he discovered watercolors in 2018. His paintings are inspired by the natural beauty around him, as he works from photographs taken by his artist spouse.
